  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for coating

Method

  1. Preheat: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk: In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt
  3. Combine: In a separate bowl, combine sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. Mix: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. Chill: Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. This prevents spreading.
  6. Roll: Shape the dough into 1-inch balls.
  7. Coat: Roll each ball in powdered sugar, ensuring it's well-coated.
    1/4 cup powdered sugar
  8. Bake: Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  10. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
