Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.

For easier handling, wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use Valentine's Day themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
Place the cut-out cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently press sprinkles onto the top of each cookie.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Package them up and give to your loved ones!
