Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste
For the Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
For the Noodles:
  • 8 ounces dried Yakisoba noodles (or Spaghetti)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Garnish (Optional):
  • sesame seeds
  • chopped green onions

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.

  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. While chicken is cooking, whisk together all teriyaki sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  4. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
    8 ounces dried Yakisoba noodles, 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  5. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly.
