- Melt the Chocolate: Place chopped chocolate and shortening (if using) in a heat-safe bowl. Melt in 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each interval, until completely smooth. You can also melt the chocolate in a double boiler.12 oz high-quality dark chocolate, 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
- Coat the Molds: Spoon melted chocolate into silicone sphere molds, ensuring each mold cavity is fully and evenly coated. Use the back of a spoon to spread the chocolate up the sides.12 oz high-quality dark chocolate
- Chill the Shells: Place the molds in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
- Remove the Shells: Gently peel the chocolate shells out of the molds.12 oz high-quality dark chocolate
- Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.1 cup high-quality cocoa powder, ½ cup granulated sugar, ¼ teaspoon salt

- Seal the Bombs: Heat a plate in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Gently melt the rim of the empty chocolate shells by pressing them on the hot plate. Quickly place them on top of the filled shells to seal.12 oz high-quality dark chocolate
