- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly mist a 9-inch glass pie pan with cooking spray to ensure easy serving.Cooking spray
- Place the ground beef and chopped onion in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally to break up the meat, until the beef is browned and crumbly. This should take approximately 8 to 10 minutes.1 pound lean (at least 80%) ground beef, 1 large onion
- While the beef is cooking, prepare the topping by whisking the milk, Bisquick mix, and eggs together in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth.1 cup milk, 1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix, 2 large eggs
- Drain the excess grease from the beef and onion mixture. Transfer the cooked meat to the prepared pie pan. Stir in the salt and spread the mixture evenly.1/2 teaspoon salt
- Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese over the top of the beef. Carefully pour the Bisquick and egg mixture over the cheese and meat.1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. The pie is done when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
Notes
To get the best results with your One-Pan Cheeseburger Pie, always drain the ground beef thoroughly to prevent the bottom from becoming soggy. Leftovers store remarkably well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months.
