  2. Place the ground beef and chopped onion in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally to break up the meat, until the beef is browned and crumbly. This should take approximately 8 to 10 minutes.

  3. While the beef is cooking, prepare the topping by whisking the milk, Bisquick mix, and eggs together in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth.
1 cup milk, 1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix, 2 large eggs
  4. Drain the excess grease from the beef and onion mixture. Transfer the cooked meat to the prepared pie pan. Stir in the salt and spread the mixture evenly.
    1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese over the top of the beef. Carefully pour the Bisquick and egg mixture over the cheese and meat.
    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes. The pie is done when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.

Notes

To get the best results with your One-Pan Cheeseburger Pie, always drain the ground beef thoroughly to prevent the bottom from becoming soggy. Leftovers store remarkably well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 3 months.
