Ingredients
  

  • 2 fluid ounces limoncello
  • 4 fluid ounces orange juice
  • 1 splash grenadine
  • ice cubes (optional)
  • 1 orange slice (optional)
  • 1 maraschino cherry (optional)

Equipment

  • Old Fashioned Glass
  • Squeeze Bottle (optional)

Method
 

  1. If using, add ice cubes to an Old Fashioned glass.

  2. Pour the 2 ounces of limoncello into the glass.

  3. Slowly pour the 4 ounces of orange juice over the limoncello.

  4. Take the grenadine and slowly pour it into the glass, allowing it to sink to the bottom. For the best control, use a squeeze bottle or pour it over the back of a spoon.

  5. Garnish the rim of the glass with a fresh orange slice and add a maraschino cherry.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy the beautiful sunrise effect.

Notes

If you chill the limoncello and orange juice beforehand, you can skip the ice for a less diluted cocktail. Transferring the grenadine to a squeeze bottle gives you maximum control for creating the perfect layered sunrise effect.
