Ingredients

For the Wings:
  • 2 lbs chicken wings drumettes and flats separated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Lemon Pepper Honey Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 2 lbs chicken wings
  2. Arrange wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
  3. While wings are baking, whisk together honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a saucepan.
1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons lemon zest, 2 tablespoons freshly cracked black pepper, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove wings from oven and immediately toss them in the Lemon Pepper Wings Honey sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy Lemon Pepper Wings Honey!

Notes

Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your preferred spice level. For extra crispy wings, broil them for the last 2-3 minutes of baking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
