Method
- Initial Freeze: Begin by placing your green grapes in the freezer for one hour. Once chilled, remove the stems by giving them a quick twist; this process is much easier when the grapes are partially frozen.2-3 pounds seedless green grapes
- Rinse: Place the de-stemmed grapes into a colander and rinse them thoroughly with cool water.2-3 pounds seedless green grapes
- Coat with Flavor: Transfer the wet grapes into Ziploc bags, using a separate bag for each Kool-Aid flavor or color. Add the Kool-Aid mix to the bags, seal them tightly, and shake vigorously until every grape is evenly coated.2-3 pounds seedless green grapes, 6 ounces Kool-Aid Mix
- Final Freeze: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the coated grapes onto it in a single layer. Place the sheet back into the freezer for 24 hours. After the full day has passed, your grapes are ready to be served and enjoyed!2-3 pounds seedless green grapes
Notes
Do not completely dry your grapes after rinsing, as the residual moisture acts as a glue to help the Kool-Aid powder stick to the skin. It is highly recommended to use pre-sweetened Kool-Aid packets unless you specifically enjoy a very intense sweet-tart flavor profile.
