Method
- Bring the 3/4 cup of water to a boil in a kettle or small saucepan.3/4 cup water
- Remove the water from the heat and add the Earl Grey tea bag. Allow it to steep for exactly 5 minutes to develop a strong flavor.1 Earl Grey tea bag
- After steeping, remove and discard the tea bag.
- Fill a tall glass to the brim with fresh ice.as needed ice
- Pour the 1/2 cup of milk over the ice.1/2 cup milk
- Slowly pour the strongly brewed Earl Grey tea over the milk.
- Add the vanilla syrup to the glass.1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
- Stir everything well until combined and chilled. Taste and add more vanilla syrup if desired.
Notes
For a less watery drink, allow the brewed tea to cool for 10-15 minutes before assembling over ice. This prevents the ice from melting too quickly and diluting the flavors.
