Heart Oreo Truffles

A delightful Valentine's Day treat that's quick, surprisingly healthy, and bursting with flavor! These little bites of heaven are incredibly easy to make and packed with the irresistible taste of Oreos.

Ingredients
  

  • 14.3 ounces Oreo cookies
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 12 ounces melting chocolate your choice of milk, dark, or white
  • sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Method
 

  1. Finely crush the Oreos in a food processor until reduced to fine crumbs.

  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreo crumbs. Mix until well combined and a dough forms.

  3. Roll the mixture into one-inch balls (about 24 truffles). Then gently form the balls into heart shapes. This can be done by gently pinching the top of the circle to create a point, and creating the heart shape.
  4. Place the shaped Heart Oreo Truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.

  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a fork to lift it out and gently tap off any excess chocolate.
  7. Immediately sprinkle with sprinkles or other desired decorations.

  8. Place the dipped and decorated Heart Oreo Truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow the chocolate to set completely, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator for faster setting.
