Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend recommended for the best flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (or 1 teaspoon of pre-minced jarred garlic)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese diced into small cubes or shredded
  • 1 can refrigerated flaky layers biscuit dough 16.3 oz, 8-count
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped for garnish

Method

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and minced garlic. Cook, breaking the meat apart, until it is fully browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess grease.
1 pound ground beef, 2 cloves garlic
  2. Remove the skillet from the heat. While the beef is still hot, stir in the Parmesan cheese and the cheddar cheese cubes.
0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 cup cheddar cheese
  3. Open the can of refrigerated biscuits. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a circle about 4 inches wide using your palms or a rolling pin.
1 can refrigerated flaky layers biscuit dough
  4. Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of the cheeseburger filling into the center of each flattened biscuit. Leave a small border around the edges.
  5. Carefully pull the edges of the dough up over the filling, pinching the seams tightly to seal. Ensure there are no gaps where cheese can leak out.
  6. Place the dough balls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops generously with melted butter. Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the tops are a beautiful golden brown.
    2 tablespoons butter
  7. Remove from the oven and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
    1 tablespoon fresh parsley

Notes

For an extra punch of flavor, stir half a teaspoon of garlic powder into your melted butter before brushing it onto the biscuits. If the dough feels too dry to seal, lightly dampen your fingertips with water to help the seams bond together.
