Ingredients
  

For the Roll-Ups
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (13.8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread cranberry sauce evenly over the dough.
  4. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
  5. Roll up the dough tightly into a log.
  6. Slice the log into 1-inch thick rounds.
  7. Place the roll-ups in a greased baking dish.
  8. Brush with melted butter.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. While baking, prepare the glaze.
  11. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more liquid to reach desired consistency.
  12. Let the roll-ups cool slightly before drizzling with glaze.
  13. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For smoother spreading, pulse chunky cranberry sauce in a food processor. Experiment with pistachios or macadamia nuts. Add orange zest for a tangier kick. Ensure roll-ups are slightly warm before glazing. Allow the roll-ups to cool down slightly before serving.
