Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 6 ounces each
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Sandwich:
  • 2 burger buns
  • Your favorite sauce (mayo, sriracha mayo, honey mustard, etc.)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices (optional)
  • Pickle slices (optional)

Method
 

  1. Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. Place flour in a shallow dish. In another dish, beat the egg. In a third dish, combine panko breadcrumbs.

  3. Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken cutlets and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  5. Spread your favorite sauce on both halves of the burger buns. Add lettuce leaves, tomato slices (if using), and pickle slices (if using). Place a crispy chicken cutlet on top of the bottom bun and cover with the top bun.
