Ingredients
  

Chicken Mixture
  • 1.5 lbs cooked chicken, shredded
  • 10.75 ounce condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ounce packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Tater Tot Layer
  • 32 ounce frozen tater tots, thawed slightly

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch dressing mix, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, and green onions. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture. Slightly thaw them to make this easier.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
