- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch dressing mix, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, and green onions. Mix well until fully combined.
- Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture. Slightly thaw them to make this easier.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
