Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Open the canned biscuits and cut each individual biscuit into quarters. Place the pieces on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each bite.20 ounces refrigerated canned biscuits
- Bake the bites for 7 to 10 minutes. You want them to be cooked through but still pale in color.
- While the biscuits are in the oven, melt the salted butter in a small bowl. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.0.5 cup salted butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes until they are safe to touch. While they cool, set your oven rack to the middle position and turn the oven to the broil setting.
- Dip each biscuit quarter into the melted butter, ensuring it is fully submerged, then roll it in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place the coated bites back onto the baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes. Watch them very closely, as the sugar can go from caramelized to burnt in seconds.
- Transfer the bites to a cooling rack for 30 seconds to let the sugar set, then move them to a serving plate and enjoy immediately.
Notes
These bites are best served fresh and warm, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. To ensure the best texture, avoid overbaking the biscuits during the initial baking step so they remain soft after broiling.
