Notes

For ultra-crispy potato slices, make sure your oven is fully preheated. Placing the potatoes on a hot baking sheet helps them crisp up faster. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet; if necessary, use two sheets to ensure the potatoes bake evenly. Seasoning is key! Feel free to experiment with different spices like chili powder, dried herbs, or even a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. A little bit of cornstarch tossed with the potatoes before baking can also enhance crispiness. Watch them carefully during the last few minutes of baking, as they can go from golden brown to burnt rather quickly. Finally, let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving to allow them to crisp up even more.
